Dry eye symptoms include scratchy eyes, redness, blurry vision, light sensitivity, stinging eyes, and burning eyes or eye that feels bruised. 

  • Pink eye

Pink eye is also known as conjunctivitis. This results from a bacterium or a virus. The most common symptoms of pink eye include watery eyes, green, white, or yellow discharge from the eyes, itching sensation, burning or eyes, and red or pink eyes. One might feel pressure behind the right eye.

Pink eye is easily passed from one person to the next person. So, one should wash his hands after touching his eyes to stop the spreading of pink eye. Pink eye can be one of the reasons for which your eyes hurt.

  • Scratched cornea

The scratched cornea is one of the possible reasons for which your eyes hurt. The cornea is the clear layer in the front of the eyes. A person might scratch his cornea when applying contact lenses, while doing makeup, or while rubbing his eyes. This results in the scratched cornea. A scratched cornea can cause blurred vision, red, watery eyes, and a feeling that something is stuck inside the eye, or a person feels his eye pain when blinking.

Fungus infection can be a reason for which your eyes hurt. Fungi can affect the eyes of a person. Those people who work in gardens or farms and wear contact lenses are more likely to develop fungal eye infections. The weaker immune system can also result in fungal infection.

Fungal eye infection can cause blurred vision, redness of eyes, pain in eyes, sensitivity to bright light, tearing, and discharge from eyes. 

  • Uveitis

Uveitis is a wide range of eye problems. This is a wide range of inflammatory eye diseases. This can cause damage to the eye tissue, and it might permanently cause vision loss. The symptoms of Uveitis include redness in the eyes, light sensitivity, floating spots in vision, blurry vision, and eye pain. With medical attention, Uveitis can be treated on time. 

The cause of Uveitis is still unclear. Uveitis can be developed due to infection, tumor, eye injury, or autoimmune disease.

  • Other conditions

Several other potential conditions can hurt the eyes. These conditions include sinus infection, migraine, and cerviogenic headache. A person needs to consult with his physician as soon as possible to get rid of painful eyes.
