Family Wellness Providing individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy, along with support services, is the focus of the Family Wellness Center.  Our dedicated and licensed therapists assist children, teens, young adults, and families of all ages in discovering and developing their strengths, building strong families, and overcoming challenges.

An approach centered on the Family Wellness

In 1887, the San Diego Center for Children was founded to care for children and strengthen families.  The best support for children comes from strong, healthy families, and even strong families need support during challenging times. Biological, adoptive, extended, divided, blended, fostering, and reuniting families exist in many forms. There are many reasons why families come to us. Behavioral or emotional challenges can lead to families wanting to improve their relationships or develop parenting skills. It is common for people to turn to us during difficult times in their personal lives.  Providing services that will instill hope and faith of a brighter future is our goal as your advocate.

Share meals with your Family Wellness.

Family wellness and bonding can be improved by preparing and eating meals together regularly. Do you find it difficult to eat together regularly because of your busy family schedule? In spite of the fact that a formal family dinner every night at 6 p.m. is unrealistic, it’s still possible to connect with the family several times per week over mealtime. Put mealtime at the top of your priority list. Breaking bread with family on a regular basis may not be possible every single night, but work towards making it a habit instead of an exception. Discuss your desired goals for family meals and eating together by enlightening your family members. Make sure they are involved and involved in the process.

Schedule your family’s activities more efficiently.

Today, families are often blamed for having “hectic” schedules. It seems like everyone is always “busy,” even kids. Every day, I have conversations with people who say, “Oh, I’ve been so busy” when I ask, “How have you been?” Most families seem to accept chaos and confusion as normal. However Family Wellness we complain about busy schedules and being “busy,” nothing will really change unless we do something about it. Why are life and schedules so busy? Who creates them? The chaos is often caused by our own actions, which can be difficult to admit.

Make a night of fun for the whole Family Wellness.

Organize an activity for your family one night a week. Family board games are a good idea. As well as teaching life skills, board games offer opportunities to solve problems, deal with losing (and winning), relieve stress, and develop creativity. In addition to camping in the backyard, having a talent show, holding an awards ceremony, working on puzzles, or stargazing are other ideas. There are no limits to what you can do!

Regularly meet with your Family Wellness.

For a family to be healthy, communication is essential. Every member of the household needs to be involved in the communication. It is important for children to participate in decision-making on a regular basis, even when parents have the final say in major decisions. Family affairs should be a part of children’s lives. It is important to encourage them to regularly contribute their opinions. It is possible to involve even young children. Share children’s opinions about meals, chores, and family outings during family meetings. As well as contributing to family vacations and family finances, they can also be involved in larger decisions. See more visit
